We survived our first full weekI am happy to report that our first full week of school is almost under wraps. One focus I have this year is to establish clear routines and expectations in all of my classes so that students know what is expected as soon as they walk through the door.
I spent a little time reading a book I borrowed from a friend, The First Days of School by Harry K. Wong & Rosemary T. Wong, to get myself into the swing of things. There is a lot of information in the text but I think it will prove to be useful over the course of the year. My first couple of I.T. 8 classes were a little touch and go since the PCs aren't set up exactly how I want them yet. I'm also a Mac user so I'm finding that I will need to relearn and adjust a couple of things. Lesson of the week that I learned with my 8s is that Internet Explorer is not our friend... an important lesson to learn! Since my 8s are expected to write a blog post weekly, I'm challenging myself to do the same. I guess we'll see how that goes. Until next time, KT
